The Opelousas-Eunice Public Library was established in 1967. Located in St. Landry Parish (Louisiana), the bi-city library is funded primarily with sales taxes collected in the cities of Opelousas and Eunice.
Anyone living in the cities of Opelousas and Eunice, or the surrounding trade area, may obtain a library card. There is no charge for the first card, but charges do apply to replace a lost card. Proper ID is required to obtain a library card.
Hours of Operation: Opelousas Public Library (Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) Eunice Public Library (Monday-Wednesday 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Thursday-Saturday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
Copy machine charge : 25 cents per page; Computer printer charge: 5 cents per page from black and white printer; 25 cents per page from color printer. Public access computers (16 in Opelousas, 11 in Eunice) with free Internet access.
